KIT sets 40th Graduation, Recognition Exercises
Dir. Lorenzo G. Macapili, DTE Regional Director of TESDAIX and the Commencement speaker sincerely expressed his warmest congratulations to the graduates of the Kabasalan Institute of Technology on their 40th Commencement Exercises

The Kabasalan Institute of Technology held its 40th Graduation and Recognition Ceremonies on April 5, 2018 with the ‘’Total Access to TVET for Sustainable Development ‘’. The ceremony began at 7:30 in the morning with the processional march of the candidates for graduation, parents, guests, school officials, faculty and staff. Also joining the processional march were Regional Director Lorenzo G. Macapili of TESDA IX and the SUC President II of Zamboanga City Polytechnic College (ZCSPC) Nelson P. Cabral, Ed.D. and his staff.
This year’s featured commencement speaker was Eng. Lorenzo G. Macapili, DTE, and Regional Director TESDA Region IX. The total TVET graduates for the school year 2017- 2018 was 210 and 82 graduates for BS Courses of the extension program of Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College in KIT.
Greta D. Sabroso , Ed.D.  the Vocational Administrator III delivered her  welcome message . She emphasized in her message the importance of skills that the trainees have learned and acquired from the different qualifications they were enrolled in, which it can turn them into a successful worker, employee or entrepreneur and it makes them a person of worth.
Dir. Lorenzo G. Macapili TESDA IX, Regional Director was the guest speaker. Macapili in his message, sincerely expressed his warmest congratulations to the graduates, officials and staff of the Kabasalan Institute of Technology. According to him, the institution has long been producing job-ready and globally competitive graduates imbued with the right work attitude.
He also talked about the theme’’ Total Access to TVET for Sustainable Development ‘’ that speaks of the direction of the present administration and accordingly the government has opened many educational opportunities for all the Filipino people.
The TVET graduates are job -ready and globally competitive imbued with right attitude and with National Certificate II (NC) in their respective qualification.
Thus TESDA adapted strategies to promptly respond to the needs and demands of different clientele groups to help minimize unemployment problem.  Macapili also extended his felicitation to the graduates who have been issued with National Certificate II (NC) in their respective TVET qualification. He hoped that with the competencies the acquired they could land for work in the local industry or in foreign countries.
As gesture of gratitude to  Dir. Lorenzo G. Macapili , Greta D.Sabroso, Ed.D presented a plaque of appreciation  to him. The Head of Instruction for Core Competencies, Mr.Renerio P.Pardillo presented the 36 candidates in Automotive Technology, 19 candidates in Automotive /Land Transport Sector, 15 candidates in-year Certificate in Civil Construction Technology, 10 candidates in One-year Certificate in Electronics Technology ,  6 candidates in One-year  Certificates in Garments  Technology , 32 candidates in Metals and Engineering Sector , and 90 candidates in Tourism Sector.

Likewise, the Head of Instruction for Basic and Common Competencies Gladys A. Tiongco and also the Extension Program Coordinator presented the candidates for graduation  under  the Extension Program of ZCSPC as follows 15 candidates in Bachelor   of Science in Industrial Technology ( BSIT ) Major in Garments and Textile Technology 6 candidates major in Food Technology , 28 candidates in Bachelor of Technical  Teacher Education  ( BTTE ) 8  Major in Garments , Fashion and Design Technology , 20 candidates Major in Food and Service Management , 3 candidates major in Food and Service  Management , 2 candidates major in Mechanical Technology , 4 candidates major in Electrical Technology , 4 candidates major in Automotive  Technology , 7 candidates in Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology , 11 , candidates in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Technology and 2 candidates in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Technology. The SUC President II Nelson P. Cabral, Ed.D, of Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College did the acceptance and confirmation of the candidates for graduation in the extension program. The distribution of Certificates of Training to the TVET graduates was done by Dir. Lorenzo G. Macapili, DTE, and Greta D. Sabroso , Ed.D.
Moreover, SUC President III Nelson P. Cabral, Ed. D also delivered his graduation message. He said ‘’ Don’t be alarmed. Let education set direction. Let it point the way - you desired place under the sun. Let it lift from the recesses of insecurity, indecisiveness and wavering decisions - from instability. What awaits you is your dream. Gather courage and strength. Set sail. ‘’


The school awarded Certificates and medals to the meritorious graduates in the different qualifications. The graduates in the BS courses in the extension program of Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College has seven Cum-laude graduates namely ; Ryan A. Hangad , Racel D. Bendoy  , Bonavee R.Lauron ,   Jenelyn M. Bullecer , Vena Rhea Grace M.  Pableo ,  Melody  G. Bulay-og  and Dannielle  Benzar   A. Tayag.
Likewise, Medard F. Barrios under TVET Program received also the leadership award as President of the Student Supreme Council. Bonavee R. Lauron a Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education, Cum-laude and Service Awardee led the Pledge of Loyalty. Mr. Elmer Y. Abulon AOIV and the President of the Alumni Association inducted the graduates of Batch 2018 to the KIT Alumni Association. 
The Commencement exercises of S.Y. 2018 ended with the exit of colors followed by the recessional march of the guests, parents, and graduates.
