KIT trainees go green this August

The TVET trainees of the Kabasalan Institute of Technology participated in the ‘’Go Green ‘’ activity   this August / Tree-planting activity conducted on August 23, 2016 at the vacant space or lot area of the school campus.  The Tree-planting activity was initiated by the SSC officers and advisers led by Eng. Amy Mabatid . ‘’ The purpose of planting trees is to help in the fight against climate change.
The school Administrative Officer IV Mr. Elmer Y .Abulon was tasked to take charge in the Tree planting activity and guided   the students in the specific site of the school campus were the planting of the trees will be done. Moreover, Abulon stressed  to the students the value of planting tress because  trees absorbed green house gases that cause global warming .It is also  an opportunity to show your concern and love to your school KIT as well us to your environment,
The students planted fruit trees namely; Rambutan, Lanzones, and mangoes. The seedlings were bought by the SSC advisers in the Department of Agriculture and it was orderly distributed by advisers namely; Mrs.Brenda Jambaro, Mirs.Veronica Rasonable, Mrs.Sheba Pallar, and Eng.Amy Mabatid to the class representatives per qualifications. The students were equipped with their working tools such as the bolos, shovels, spade, and rake which were used for smoothing the soil on the surface of the ground.
The Tree Planting activity is one of the activities in the 22nd TESDA   Anniversary. The activity begins well and ends well.
